2019 Foundation Working Conference of Central China Normal University was held in October 18th, 2019. The conference was chaired by Zhibin Wang, the director of the Alumni Office. Hongsheng Cai, the vice president of CCNU, attended the conference and gave a speech on the conference. The attendees including the principals and related staff of other units.

Fanghong Li, the deputy director of the Alumni Office, introduced the basic situation and recent data of the Foundation, the current national fund allocation policy, the donation and reward policy of CCNU, and some reflections on fund-raising. She said that fund-raising work is not easy, but the national allocation policy is tilted in favour of normal universities, the Foundation must make good use of it.

Kewen Fei, the Deputy Chief of the Finance Department, explained the financial requirements of the allocation policy. He said that the inspection on fund allocation is the most rigorous and frequent one among the inspections on Six Special Projects. In 2018, the central government issued the latest management measures on the national donation allocation policy, which particularly emphasize supervision, inspection and punishment. The Foundation should study the new system carefully and strengthen the management of the projects.

Hongsheng Cai summarized the meeting. He pointed out that all units in the school should pay attention to the new national policy, and four points was mainly emphasized: Firstly, the issue of funds is of great significance. Donations serve more than one purpose, increasing financial resources, enhancing image and cohesion. Secondly, the hard work pays off. The performance of our school foundation is the result of the joint efforts of all comrades. Thirdly, strict management is a prerequisite of fund work. All units must observe the red line strictly, and the alarm bells must always sound. The foundation must do a good job in not only raising but also managing. Fourthly, working together to compose a new chapter. The cooperation office must lead the other units, and the all departments must form a joint force to jointly promote the development of the work.

In the end, Zhibin Wang said that despite the difficulty of fund work, CCNU is currently ranked fourth in Hunan and Hubei, and second in Wuhan of donation allocation. This huge achievement is the result of all units’ joint efforts. He hoped that all units pay attention to the content of this meeting, and explore resources actively, to contribute to the 120 Years Dream of CCNU.
