Yunnan Alumni Association was established

On August 19th, the foundingcongressof the Yunnan Alumni Association of our university was held. Zha Daolin, Deputy Secretary of the University Party Committee, attended thecongress. Heads of related departments such as the university office, the alumni work and cooperation development office, the School of Marxism, the School of Economics and Business Administration and other related departments participated. Representatives from Hunan, Henan, Guangxi, Guizhou, Shenzhen, Liuzhou and other local alumni associations, representatives of the Association of Basic Educators, representatives of nearly 35 Yunnan Alumni Associations of brother universities, and more than 100 alumni working in various industries in Yunnan attended the meeting.

Wang Qiyun ,the Yunnan Alumni Association intends to be the executive vice president and the 2017 MBA alumni of the School of Economics and Business Administration, made a preparation report; The Secretary General of the Alumni Association read out the "Reply on the Establishment of the Yunnan Alumni Association of Central China Normal University"; Ming Qingzhong, an class-of-1981 alumnus of the Department of Geography, was elected honorary president, and Liu Zhidong, an class-of-1982 alumnus of the Chinese Department, was elected as the president.

In his speech, Liu Zhidong thanked all the leaders and guests of his alma mater for coming, and thanked the Yunnan alumni for their support. He recalled the history of the Central China Normal University moving westward to Xizhou during the Anti-Japanese War, and he recalled the scene of studying at the the Central China Normal University. He said that in the future, he will unite and lead the alumni to serve the development of his alma mater, the development of Yunnan alumni, and the development and construction of the local area of Yunnan, exchanging and cooperating with alumni associations in various places, and organizing more exchanges and cooperation with alumni. This is far-reaching event with practical help.

On behalf of theuniversityand the Alumni Association,Zha Daolin expressed congratulations on the establishment of the Yunnan Alumni Association. Heconveyed to the majority of Yunnan alumni the concern of the Party Secretary of the UniversityZhao Lingyun andPrincipal Hao Fanghua, and also conveyed the deep blessings of Principal Hao Fanghua to Yunnan alumni.At the same time, he also introduced the latest development of theuniversityand the future cooperation plan with Yunnan. He said that the exchanges and cooperation betweenCentral China Normal Universityand Yunnan have a long history and fruitful results. The recent cooperation has opened a new chapter of higher level and more comprehensive.

Finally, on behalf of the Alumni Association,Zha Daolin put forward three hopes for the Yunnan Alumni Association.The first point is to hope that the Yunnan Alumni Association will lead the majority of Yunnan alumni to continuously promote the all-round cooperation between the university and Yunnan in education, science and technology, culture and so on, to contributing to the development of Yunnan and even the southwest region, and to making new and greater contributions to the development of the university. The second point is to hope that Yunnan alumni will respond to the call of the country, taking up the responsibility of the times, passing on the love and feelings of the Chinese teachers together, and contributing to the fight against poverty in Mouding County, Western Yunnan and Yunnan Province. The last point is to hope that the Yunnan Alumni Association will strengthen contact with the alumni associations of brother colleges and universities in Yunnan, sharing resources and exchanging information, so that the alumni association will truly become the spiritual home for the vast numbers of Yunnan alumni to exchange, learn and make progress together.

After thecongress, the "Recalling Homesickness and Gui Ziqing" Yunnan Education Summit Forum ofCentral China Normal University was held, and everyone took a group photo.
