May 21st to 23rd, Zhao Lingyun,Party Secretary of CCNU, and ChenDiming,DeputyParty Secretary of CCNU, were invited to take part in the Expo Central China 2021in Shanxi, attended the 6th meeting of the 8th Council of the Alumni Association and the founding meeting of the Shanxi and Taiyuan Alumni Association, and visited Shanxi University and the alumni enterprise Shanxi Weiwo Intelligent Technology Limited Company.

New Chapter of school-local co-operation,mutual benefit and win-win development

On May 22, Zhao Lingyun and Chen Diming attended the Shanxi Transformation and development conference with the help of Shanxi businessmen and wits from home and abroad. On behalf of the school, Chen Diming signed the Strategic Framework Agreement on comprehensive co-operation between the Central China Normal University and the Government of the People’s Republic of China of Taiyuan with Liu Junyi, the Executive Vice Mayor of the Government of the People’s Republic of China of Taiyuan.

In the afternoon,ViceGovernor of Shanxi Province, Wu Wei, met with ZhaoLingyunand his delegation at a seminar on the development of Shanxi by alumni of the Central China Normal University. Wang Guangbin, Pan Feng, Chen Mouliang, Chen Bangyong, Xie Qingtang, Tang Huiliang and more than 40 alumni association presidents, school managers, alumni entrepreneurs and representatives from Shanxi investment promotion bureaus.

Wu Wei expressed his gratitude to Central China Normal University Alumni and entrepreneurs for their concern and support for the development and construction of Shanxi Province. He welcomed them to Shanxi to find jobs and start businesses, and invited them to invest and start businesses in Shanxi. He said that the cooperation between Shanxi Province and the Central China Normal University has broad prospects, and that the establishment of the Shanxi alumni association ofCentral China Normal University should be taken as an opportunity to further deepen the content of the cooperation, so as to complement each other’s advantages, achieve win-win results and achieve common development.

On behalf of the nearly 10,000CCNU alumni who have worked hard in Shanxi, Zhao Lingyun expressed his gratitude to the Shanxi Provincial Party Committee and provincial government for their care and support. He said that he would seize the rare opportunity to actively meet the development needs of Shanxi,by givingfull play to the advantages of capital, technology, talents, systems and channels, expand business in Shanxi, deepen investment cooperation and achieve mutual benefit and win-win results. He hopes that Shanxi Provincial Party Committee and provincial government will continue to support the development of the Central China Normal University in Shanxi andCCNU’salumni development.

To consolidate the friendship and strength of alumni

On the afternoon of May 22, the founding meeting of Shanxi and Taiyuan Alumni Associations was held. Representatives of local alumni associations and more than 100 alumni from all walks of life in Shanxi attended the meeting. The Congress deliberated and voted on and adoptedName List ofAlumni Organizations of Central China Normal Universityin ShanxiandName List of Alumni Organizations of Central China Normal University in Taiyuan, and Wang Guangbin was elected as thepresident of the ShanxiAlumniAssociation,Xie Jun was electedas thepresident of the Taiyuan Alumni Association. Wang Guangbin thanked the school and Shanxi Alumni for their trust and support. He said that from now on, he will unite and lead the masses of alumni to serve the development of Shanxi, to serve the development of his Alma Mater, toenhancecommunication with his Alma Mater, and to actively make suggestions for the construction of his Alma Mater’s“Double-first-class”.

On behalf of the school and the Alumni Association, Zhao Lingyun congratulated the establishment of the Shanxi and Taiyuan Alumni associations,expressed hisheartfelt thanks and high respect to all the alumni of Shanxi for their contributions to the economic and social development of Shanxi and the honor they have won for their Alma Mater. He said that this yearwas the first year of carrying out the spirit of the 12th PartyCongress and14thFive-YearPlan. We shouldexplore new ground of alumni work which focus on the construction of a world class university leading in teacher education, establishment of the community for the alumni broad and school, and celebration of CCNU’s 120th anniversary(Double Jiazi). Zhao Lingyun said that a hundred years of history is the most valuable spiritual wealth of CCNU. Hundreds of thousands of alumni are the most valuable school achievements of CCNU. The spirit and legacy of theCCNUshould be passed on. We shouldmotivate the alumni, activate the tradition of a hundred years, show the achievements of running a hundred years school, and enhance the academic confidence, educational confidence and cultural confidence ofCCNU. The assembly once againcalled for the preparation for celebration of CCNU’s 120th anniversary(Double Jiazi). He hoped that people from CCNU to work together to promote the development of CCNU and run the celebration of CCNU’s 120th anniversary(Double Jiazi) successfully.

Prior to theCongress, the 6th meeting of the 8th Council of theCCNUAlumni Association washeld. And Chen Diming,Deputy Party Secretaryof CCNU, was electedas Vice president of the Association. Wang Zhibin, Secretary General of the Association, delivered a report on the work of theassociation in 2020.

Visiting Shanxi University

During the Congress, Zhao Lingyun, ChenDimingand their partywent to Shanxi University, where they had a discussion with the PartySecretary of Shanxi University Wang Yanglin,presidentof Shanxi UniversityHuang Guitian and Vicepresidentof Shanxi UniversitySun Yan, on the construction of the“Double first-class”University and the preparations for the celebration of the university’s anniversary.
